Will I Ever Make a Living With My Art?

December 19th, 2009 admin No comments

Dear Ambitious Artist,

Is this something that you’ve often wondered and ever asked yourself?

Were you encouraged to go after your early artistic dreams?

Pablo Picasso once said,
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.”

Artists, performers, musicians and other creative types are often discouraged from pursuing their artistic passion from adolesence into adulthood.

After working with some artists I’ve learned that this whole “striving and starving Artist” thing is on the whole a romantic myth. Not only do many artists make a modest enough living from their art, many of them make very comfortable living.

Do you have an artistic talent and ever wondered if you could actually make money, or even some decent money from it? Enough to maybe even have your own gallery exhibition or be personally commisioned for a private artwork?

President Harry S. Truman offered this bit of parental wisdom during a television interview, “I have found that the best way to give advice to your children is to find out what they want and then advise them to do it.”

That is of course relative and subjective, We are talking about encouraging children to develop their natural artistic talent and carry that passion for their art into their college years and further on into adulthood.

You will hear people say “There’s no money in art”. You should quietly ask yourself what do they know of the subject and what actions did they take to ensure success?

Maybe things were different in their day, maybe they didn’t have access to proven courses that had videos and explanations of how to go about making a living by marketing your artwork.

If you’re wondering if it’s at all possible, and excited or even intrigued by the possibility, why not check out this course…it may change your life…
